    Summer Reading Lists

    Summer is the perfect time to have fun, relax, and READ! Our goal in Worthington is to continue to support reading, writing, speaking & listening opportunities all summer long! In Worthington, our students may take a DIP in the pool, but they may not take a DIP in Reading!  Research shows that reading 200 pages per week increases student achievement and promotes cognitive growth in students. Ensuring that children and families spend thirty minutes a day reading and discussing the text they have read, fights the regression in reading skills that often occur over the summer months. Worthington ELA departments and Media Specialists have collaborated to help our students select some great reads over the summer.  Check them out for grades 6th, 7th and 8th below:

    Hello McCord Families!
    Please send in your Box Tops for Education! The submission deadline for Spring is February 25th!
    Click here to see an informational flier which gives many different examples on how you can help earn money for our children and school! It's easy!
    Remember to save your Box Tops all year long and you can submit them to the main office ANY TIME Spring, Fall or Winter.

  • Important *NEW* Immunization Requirements

     
    New immunization requirement from the Ohio Department of Health. ALL middle schoolers are required to have an additional Tdap vaccine prior to the start of school (given on or after age 11). Children will not be permitted to start school without proper proof of immunization.
