Announcements:  October 21, 2016-Word for the Month is Responsibility

Looking for something fun to do this winter with your friends?  Are you adventurous and like to have fun.   Then consider joining Ski Club this year.  All four Worthington middle schools travel to Mad River Mountain on Mondays via charter bus.  If you have never skied before this is the perfect opportunity to learn from experienced ski patrol at Mad River.  For more information plan on attending our parent/student meeting next Monday, October 24th at Phoenix Middle School at 7:30 pm.  The ski club adviser for Worthingway is Mr. Zingery.  Any additional questions please let him know.
Students, next week is Red Ribbon Week! Start the week off right by wearing RED on Monday.  Wearing all red and shows your commitment to be drug free. Get ready for some fun Red Ribbon Week activities starting Monday!
The Worthingway Arts Program presents: Actor's Boot Camp
Build your acting skills. Drill professional audition techniques. Challenge yourself to become a better performer. Create memorable characters. Spend an intense week playing theatre games and working on scenes and monologues with Worthingway Arts Program director extraordinaire Jeff Horst. This boot camp will include expert training to prepare you to audition for Worthingway's spring production of Cinderella.  The Actor's Boot Camp runs Tuesday through Friday, 4pm-6pm, from November 1st - November 4th. Register online at waponline.orgunder the Actor’s Boot Camp page. 

Our next Books and Bagels book club meeting will take place on October 31st at 8:00am in the library. The book selection for this meeting is Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Any interested students should read the story and join us for a lively discussion and delicious treats!

Wrestling will begin Tuesday, November 7. We are a combined program with Kilbourne Middle School. Practices will be held at TWHS from 4:15 to 6:15; students will be shuttled to TWHS and are to be picked up there Monday through Friday.  Matches are on Wednesday’s and Tournaments are on Saturday’s. Home matches are in the WWAY Gym.  Interested students should have shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes or if know you will be staying with program all year wrestling shoes and also wrestling head gear, preferably red.  Please email Coach Gundling if you have any questions.

Important Winter Sport Information:

Winter Sports Forms: The Worthington Athletic Departments have partnered with Final Forms, an on-line program which will enable you and your student to complete & file MOST athlete forms electronically. Please click on the Athletic Forms icon on the Worthingway Athletic Page to access the new Final Forms Guide.  Your Emergency Card must be filled out for your child to participate in open gyms.  The Physical Form must be fully completed and turned into your home school prior to the first date of official practices or try-outs along with all other online forms.  The Participation Fee must be paid before the first regular season contest unless you have contacted Mr. Brunswick at KMS or Mr. Mosca at WWAY to come up with a payment plan.

The Kroger Community Rewards Program gives back to schools.  If you are interested in supporting Worthingway through the Kroger Community Rewards Program, please see the instructions below:

- If this is your first time signing up:

1. Go to: www.krogercommunityrewards.com
2. Click “create account”
3. Put in your email address and password 

4. Confirm your password

5. Enter plus card or alternate ID number

6. Go to Community Awards (near bottom)

7. Follow steps (name, address, etc.)

8. Put in the group number or part of the name of the organization

9. Choose the correct organization
10. Click Enroll.

- To re-enroll card:

1. Go to: www.krogercommunityrewards.com

2. Click “sign-in”

3. Put in your email address and password 

4. Click on participants name at the top right, scroll to the bottom for Community Rewards

5. Put in the group number or part of the name of the organization

6. Choose the correct organization

7. Click Enroll.

You will be through April 30th 2017
