The 2011-2012 school year saw many Points of Pride for Worthingway Middle School. Our success is a testament to the outstanding support we have from our families and the hard work of all of our staff and students. Below is a list of some of those successes.
- Worthingway was rated Excellent with Distinction on our most recent state report card
- The Worthingway reading and language arts department was selected to take part in the Formative Assessment Pilot for Middle Schools (FAMS) by the Ohio Department of Education
- The Worthingway orchestra received Superior or Excellent ratings at the the 2012 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Conference
- The Worthingway band received a Superior Rating at the OMEA Adjudicated Event for Middle School Large Ensembles
- Worthingway Middle School staged a full production of Fiddler on the Roof in three performances at the McConnell Arts Center
- The Worthingway Choir performed at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati
- Worthingway Wellness for Life students walked over 10,000 miles during our Walking Wednesdays program in Wellness classes
- Worthingway Middle School students provided anti-bullying programming at Worthington Estates Elementary School as part of the district One Leg at a Time Anti-Bullying Program
- The Worthingway Math Department implemented the Math Extensions program for students struggling with math skills
- Worthingway Middle School students implemented the Reading Buddies Program with Worthington Estates Elementary School
- Worthingway Middle School students began Project MORE at Worthingway in which Worthingway students read with Worthington Estates students prior to the start of classes at Worthingway
- Worthingway students raised over $2000 for the American Heart Association's Hoops for Heart Program
- Worthingway students brought in over 600 pounds of canned goods as part of Worthingway's Community Service Week
