  • Please keep in mind the following for the week of January 26th-30th: 

    PARCC/OCBA Assessment Calendar-There has been an adjustment to the PARCC/OCBA assessment calendar that was released a few weeks ago.  The Performance Based Assessments will begin the week of February 23rd.  The Worthington Education Association Administrators have asked us to move up our assessments one week.  As the district/state continues to revise and update their information regarding the new assessments, we will notify Wilson Hill Families about the calendar changes that are made. The revised assessment calendar will be sent to families via email this week.
    Parent Resource Website- Worthington City Schools Department of Academic Achievement and Professional Development has created a website for families.  On this site is information about the new learning standards for each content area, new assessment information, graduation requirements and parent resources.  You may access the link by copying and pasting the link:

    Student Council Update- Student Council has scheduled a Fun Day for this Friday, January 30th. It is Dress Up/Commercial Day! You can dress up in a costume (not a Halloween Costume) OR dress up like your favorite commercial character. An example might be dressing up as a snowman or Jake, from the State Farm TV commercial. Remember, this is an optional activity.

    Free Dental Clinic Opportunity- The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is hosting its sixth

    Give Kids a Smile Day, providing FREE dental exams, cleanings, and extractions, fillings, and crowns for kids in need. This event is offered as part of the national GiveKids a Smile™ (GKAS) program sponsored by the American Dental Association. The event will be held on Saturday February 7th, from 8am-11am.  Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis by calling 614-688-1470.

    Summer Enrichment Opportunities- For families looking for a great opportunity to engage children over the summer, Worthington City Schools will host a Summer Enrichment Academy.  Please view the flyer in eBackpack.  More information will follow about this program.

    After School Programs- Worthington City Schools has announced it’s Winter After School Programs that will take place.  Please view the flyer in eBackpack for more information.

    Winter Warm-Up Gatherings- Wilson Hill will try a new initiative to allow families to connect with one another and administration.  There is no agenda for these events just informal conversations with those present. Coffee will also be served at these events.  The events will take place on the following dates from 7:30 AM-8:00 AM in the Wilson Hill Library for each respective grade level if there would be a cancellation for a scheduled event it would be rescheduled and if school is operating on a two hour delay the time for the event will run from 9:30-10:00:

    • Thursday, January 22nd (5th Grade)

    • Friday, January 30th (4th Grade)

    • Thursday, February 5th (3rd Grade)

    • Moved to: Friday, February 6th (2nd Grade)

    • Thursday, February 19th (1st Grade)

    • Thursday, February 26th (Kindergarten)

    Girls on the Run- Mrs. Lawless (1st Grade Teacher) will be starting a new program in the Spring called Girls on the Run. This program is for girls in grades 3-5.  If you would like to learn more about the program and are interested in this opportunity for your child, please view the Girls on the Run information in eBackpack.
