  • Please keep in mind the following for the week of March 2nd-6th:     

     
    Wellness Update-This week in Wellness we will be discussing heart rates and finding our pulse. I will be talking with the students about no activity, moderate, and vigorous activities and compare and contrast the differences in our pulse during those types of activities. We will also be discussing what our maximum heart rate is and what our target heart rate is and what those numbers mean. Please ask your child if they can find their pulse and discuss their heart rate with you. Then discuss the differences in moderate and vigorous activities. -Mr. Swallie

    Worthington Science Day-  Congratulations to all the Wilson HIll Science Day participants.  Wilson Hill had two students place in 6th grade.  Congratulations to Cole Wilson (1st Place) and Will Jackson (2nd Place).


    Read Across America Week- Students at Wilson Hill will take part in a “Drop everything and read” each day.  In addition The Worthington Education Association is hosting a book drive. Please view eBackpack for more information.

     

    PARCC/OCBA Assessments- A detailed calendar of the assessment schedule can be found in eBackpack.We are currently running our calendar on schedule! If all goes well with no cancellations, seven days left of Performance Based Assessments.  Please have your child/children arrive to school on time and eat breakfast at home or at school. 

     
    PTO Updates- Wilson Hill PTO will be having a Parent's Night Out/Silent Auction on Saturday, March 21st.  The location of this event will be Roadhouse 66 located at 480 E. Wilson Bridge Road.  Ticket sales are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Classes will be collecting items in an attempt to create a basket that will be auctioned off.  Classroom teachers will give more detailed information about class basket themes. In addition to the Parent's Night Out/Silent Auction, Wilson Hill will host it's Family Movie Night on Friday, March 6th at 6:30 PM.
     

    Black History Month Essay Contest-  For those students/families that are interested in a writing contest please check out eBackpack for more information. All entries are due by Monday, March 2nd.


    2015-16 Kindergarten Registration- Worthington Schools is currently accepting Kindergarten registrations for all day Kindergarten and half day Kindergarten for the 15-16 school year.  Further details may be found by visiting the tab at the top of our school homepage.


    Kilbourne Middle School 7th Grade Parent Meeting- Kilbourne Middle School will be holding a parent orientation meeting for incoming 7th grade parents Monday, March 16 in the auditorium from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Wilson Hill 6th Grade Families please save the date for this event.


    Care After School 2015-16 Registration- Registration will begin March 2, and the deadline to send in completed applications is April 18.  The registration information can be found on the Care After School website.  


    eBackpack- This is on the top of the Wilson Hill Webpage.  To access and view the contents, click on eBackpack, then click on the item you wish you view on the left.
