You might be thinking that science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills aren’t important because you’re not interested in becoming an engineer or a computer programmer (though those jobs ARE in high demand). What you need to keep in mind is that almost all jobs will require some STEM-related skills. An easy way to get a jump-start on those skills is to become part of the STEM/ PLTW academy here at TWHS, which will prepare you to succeed in college and beyond.
We are excited to announce our partnerships with Columbus State Community College vis-à-vis Miami University as well as industry leaders Honda Motor Company, Abbott Labs and Worthington Industries as we continue to foster these strengths and aptitudes in our students. Join us Feb. 5, 2015 at 6pm in the TWHS library during our Pathway to Engineering Industry Night to learn how you can get on the fast track to a rewarding and high-paying career! Parents, guardians and students are welcome. From roller coasters to rockets and solar energy to science experiments, the future is waiting for you in the STEM Academy.
