Bond Issue
In November 2006, The Worthington community voted to approve a bond issue which will generate up to $37.5 million for the purpose of facilities, transportation and technology updates. The school district is committed to keeping the community updated on the expenditures made as a result of the revenue generated from the bonds.
Capital Improvements
Individual building improvements identified to be completed during the 2010 calendar year have once again been assembled into design packages of similar trade categories. A design professional has been assigned to each package to complete the necessary architectural/engineering analysis of each project and to prepare drawings and specification for public bidding. Follow the link to see the Year 4 (calendar year 2010) Project List by Design Package.
All bid packages are publically advertised to allow for competitive bidding. Sealed bids are to be timely received, opened and read publicly under the terms and conditions identified in the advertisement as required by the project construction documents for each bid package.
Additional information concerning each Design Package can be viewed on the Facility Management Web Page including the On-line Plan Room Link to view project documents and plans and obtain Bid Tabulation results from each Bid Package after the advertised Bid Opening date.
Design professionals and construction consultants are welcome to submit a Qualification Statement to be considered for future capital improvement architectural and engineering design services at anytime. Design professionals who already have submitted RFQ Statements are encouraged to provide updated copies annually.
Planning for Building Capital Improvement Projects to be completed during the 2010 calendar year is well underway. To date, $11,291,603 has been expended from the $18,750,000 identified for building capital improvements. Follow the link to view the Expenditure Summaries from the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Calendar Year Projects.
