Introduction

Text Box: Dear researcher,
Recently at Orient Museum, some very valuable information about an extremely important China Dynasty was stolen. Our museum is scheduled to open next week and cannot open without the Han Dynasty exhibit. The Han Dynasty is responsible for many inventions and advances in China’s history. We need the help of you and your research team to find the missing information and rebuild our display so that we may open next week as scheduled! Thank you and good luck!
	Sincerely,
The Orient Museum Board of Directors

MAGNETIC COMPASS

Write a newspaper article (at least 7 sentences) that explains what a magnetic compass is and its purpose. Include how this ancient invention worked. In addition, draw a picture of the first Chinese magnetic compass.

SILK PRODUCTION

For hundreds of years the Chinese kept the methods of silk production secret from the rest of the world. Present the basic steps (6-7) in silk production by using illustrations with explanations attached. Explain why it was so valuable to them.
