Roots and Shoots            

Roots and Shoots is an international organization founded by Jane Goodall (yes! the "chimp lady") W.K.H.S. Roots and Shoots works toward engaging and educating the community on our three basic missions: the environment, animals and the human community. Roots and Shoots sponsers the celebration of U.N. Peace Day in September, and Animal Action Week in October. Other events include the Organic Taco Dinner and other humanitarian and environmental projects that respond to the changing interests, concerns and needs of our school, community, nation and world.
