6th Grade Orientation

We will hold our annual 6th Grade Open House on Tuesday, February 28th from 7-8:30pm at Worthingway.

Incoming students are encouraged to attend.  You and your student will have an opportunity to learn about the scheduling process, as well as tour the building, meet teachers, and learn about our curriculum.

We hope to see you on February 28th starting in the the Worthingway gym at 7pm!

Books and Bagels

In honor of an upcoming Author Visit by Mindy McGinnis, we are reading Not a Drop to Drink for our next Books and Bagels book club meeting. This meeting will take place on March 16th at 8:00am in the library. Interested students should read the novel and join us for a lively discussion and delicious treats!


The 8th grade picture will be taken in the gym at 3:30 on Tuesday February 28th.  Order forms will be passed out the Monday before by your social studies teacher.

Girl’s Lacrosse: Open Gym Date: ​February 24th 4:15 to 5:45 at KMS, Shuttle to take WWAY girls to KMS-player pick up at KMS.  Open gyms are fun and OPTIONAL for girls wanting to be a part of our teams, it is a chance to bond and dust off your skills prior to the start of the season.  Open Gyms Information: Girls wishing to participate in open gyms need: lacrosse stick (girls), goggles, mouth guard, athletic clothing, athletic shoes, emergency information placed in Final Forms & GLAX as their Spring Sport.  Students will be shuttled from Phoenix and WWAY to KMS for open gyms, parents please pick up at KMS. Conditioning week (mandatory) 415-545; February 27 to March 3 at KMS

8th Grade Softball: Coach-Brady Seymour-bseymour80@yahoo.comTry-out Date: Thursday February 23 from 4:15 to 5:30 at Kilbourne Middle School.   Students will be shuttled to KMS, parent pick up at practice site.

8th Grade Baseball: Coach-Chad Neizgoda-niezgoda_chad@dublinschools.net; Try-out Date: Friday,  February 24 from 4:15 to 6:00 at Worthingway Middle School.  Students will be shuttled to WWAY, parent pick up at practice site.

Boy’s Lacrosse: Head Coach-amford86@gmail.com; Practice will be Thursday, February 23 and Friday February 24 from 4:30 to 5:45 at Phoenix Middle School.  Students will be shuttled to Phoenix, parent pick up at practice site.

Track: Track practice will begin March 6th. Practices will be held at Worthingway after school until 6 pm. Make sure you sign up on final forms and have a physical on file before practice begins. If any students missed the track meeting, please see Mr. Wiedenhoft for the information that was passed out.  

 

Spring Sport information is now on the website; click on athletics, spring sports and then click on the sport your student is interested in playing this spring to get updated information.  We will be adding more information as the month goes on so please check regularly.  We are still trying to find a qualified person to hire as our baseball coach so information on that sport is  limited.  All other sports have important information that will help your child be ready for spring.  Please update your child's final forms profile to include the spring sport they are planning on joining.  If this your son/daughter's first sport please go to final forms and follow the instructions.  Please contact Bill Mosca at Worthingway if you have any questions. The Kroger Community Rewards Program gives back to schools.  If you are interested in supporting Worthingway through the Kroger Community Rewards Program, please see the instructions below:
- If this is your first time signing up:
2. Click “create account”
3. Put in your email address and password 
4. Confirm your password
5. Enter plus card or alternate ID number
6. Go to Community Awards (near bottom)
7. Follow steps (name, address, etc.)
8. Put in the group number or part of the name of the organization
9. Choose the correct organization
10. Click Enroll.
 
- To re-enroll card:
2. Click “sign-in”
3. Put in your email address and password 
4. Click on participants name at the top right, scroll to the bottom for Community Rewards
5. Put in the group number or part of the name of the organization
6. Choose the correct organization
7. Click Enroll.
