    Worthington Kilbourne High School was established in 1991 and serves 1400 students. Students can participate in 32 sports teams and 40+ clubs and activities. WKHS is a Blue Ribbon School and hosts the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

    WKHS Administrative Team
    Principal Aric Thomas is serving in his fifth year at WKHS. He is a Central Ohio native and has 22 years of service in public schools. Mr. Thomas earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Wittenberg University and his masters degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University. Mr. Thomas has been a high school administrator for 15 years. Mr. Thomas and his wife Donita have three children, Riley, Makenna, and Ty.

    Assistant Principal Zach Peterson is serving in his third year at WKHS. Mr. Peterson grew up in Worthington and is a proud graduate of Granby ES, Perry MS, and WKHS. After receiving a bachelors degree in Spanish from Otterbein College, Mr. Peterson earned his teaching license, master's degree, and principal's license from Ashland University. Mr. Peterson and his wife Colleen have three daughters, Kennedy, Taylor, and Peyton.

    Athletic Director Jeff Todd is serving in his 12th year as AD at Worthington Kilbourne HS. This will be his 24th year working as an educator in the Worthington School District. Prior to his time at WKHS, he served as the AD at Thomas Worthington HS and taught Physical Education at Bluffsview Elementary. Mr. Todd received his bachelor degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Physical Education and a masters degree in Educational Leadership from The Ohio State University. Mr. Todd is a 1993 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne HS. He continues to live in the Worthington School District with his wife, Debbie, and kids, Austin, Brooklyn, and Carsyn.

    Assistant Principal Erica Backhurst is entering her third year at WKHS. She was an Intervention Specialist for 10 years before moving to administration. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Capital University, a Master of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master in Educational Leadership degree from Concordia University Chicago. She is a Youngstown native but has lived in Columbus since she was two and graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School. Erica lives with her husband, who is a middle school social studies teacher, and her twelve year old cat, Otis.

    Assistant Principal Josh Almanson is entering his first year at WKHS after serving as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at McCord Middle School for the previous three years. Mr. Almanson earned his undergraduate degree in Integrated Social Studies from Bowling Green State University and his masters degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Mr. Almanson will be entering his 8th year in education. Mr. Almanson and his wife Priscilla both work for Worthington City Schools.
