    Worthington Kilbourne High School was established in 1991 and serves 1400 students. Students can participate in 32 sports teams and 40+ clubs and activities. WKHS is a Blue Ribbon School and hosts the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

    WKHS Administrative Team
     
    Principal Aric Thomas is serving in his sixth year at WKHS. He is a Central Ohio native and has 23 years of service in public schools. Mr. Thomas earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Wittenberg University and his masters degree in Educational Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University. Mr. Thomas has been a high school administrator for 16 years. Mr. Thomas and his wife Donita have two children in college, Riley & Makenna, and their son Ty is in sixth grade.
     
    Assistant Principal Dominique Alexander is serving in his first year at WKHS. He is originally from Long Island, New York. Mr. Alexander attended undergrad at The Ohio State University, receiving a degree in Physical Education/Health Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. He has 9 years of service in public education. Mr. Alexander and his wife Allison have a two-year-old daughter named Ada and a dog named Kiki. 
     
    Asst. Principal Josh Almanson is serving in his second year at WKHS, after serving the previous three years as an assistant principal at McCord Middle School.  He is entering his 9th year in public education.  Mr. Almanson earned his undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University, and recently earned a Superintendent's Licensure from Bowling Green State University as well.  Mr. Almanson and his wife Priscilla welcomed their first child, Valencia, in April of 2022.
     
    Assistant Principal Erica Backhurst is serving in her fourth year at WKHS and her fourteenth year as an educator. She was an Intervention Specialist for 10 years before moving to administration. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Capital University, a Master of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master in Educational Leadership degree from Concordia University Chicago. She is a Youngstown native but has lived in Columbus since she was two and graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School. Erica lives with her husband, who is a middle school social studies teacher, and her thirteen-year-old cat, Otis.  

    Assistant Principal Zach Peterson is serving in his fourth year at WKHS. He is a Worthington Kilbourne alumni and has 12 years of service in public schools. Mr. Peterson earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish from Otterbein University and his masters degree in Educational Leadership from Ashland University. Mr. Peterson and his wife Colleen have three daughters. Kennedy (6), Taylor (5), and Peyton (3). In his free time, Mr. Peterson enjoys spending time with family, training his family dog, an American Lab (Molly), and playing the guitar. 

    Athletic Director Jeff Todd is serving his 13th year in his role at WKHS.  Overall, this is his 24th year in the Worthington City School District.  Mr.  Todd is a 1993 graduate of WKHS.  He received his undergraduate degree in Physical Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and his masters degree from The Ohio State University in Educational Administration.  Jeff and his wife, Debbie, have 3 children that attend Worthington Schools; Austin (14), Brooke (13) and Carsyn (10).
