WORTHINGTON SCHOOLS BENEFIT INFORMATION
Worthington City Schools is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees. The complete benefit package is briefly summarized in the following document with additional details below.
Part 1 - Medical Insurance
Worthington Schools offer a High Deductible Health Care Plan with Medical Mutual of Ohio. See benefit summary for details of the plan. Medical Mutual will send your identification cards via mail within 5-10 days, prior to January 1, 2018.
Once you have met your annual deductible, all medical/prescriptions are covered at 100% if using a network provider. The monthly premiums for health care coverage is split and withheld on the 10th & 25th of each month.
2018 Medical Insurance Premium breakouts:
- Family Deductible: $3,000
- Single Deductible: $1,500
The Board of Education provides 50% of the annual deductible by deposit in January into a Health Savings Account opened by you through CME Federal Credit Union. (See instructions and link to open account under HSA in the next section)
The 2018 dollar amount provided by the Board of Education toward your annual deductible
- Family $1,500
- Single $750
You have the option to deposit pre-tax dollars into your Health Savings Account for your portion of the annual deductible or any amount up to the IRS limit into your Health Savings Account over 2, 12 or 24 pay periods. This option is available to you during the self enroll portion of open enrollment or your face to face meetings with the American Fidelity Representatve at your building location or the WEC. Documents needed to enroll spouse and children dependents: Birth Certificates (Children) marriage Certificate to enroll spouse or other documentation that states you are married. Please send to WEC, Attn: Dodi Zimmerman before December 31, 2017.

Part 2 - Health Savings Accounts - CME Federal Credit Union
If you are enrolling for the first time a Health Savings Account is required to be opened through CME Federal Credit Union (see links below) This account is used to hold your deductible dollars. (See per pay suggestions to fund your Health Savings Account).

2018 Dental Insurance Premiums
See Benefit Summary for details of plan. Once enrolled, dental cards will be sent to you interoffice from Financial Services, Dodi Zimmerman.

Once enrolled; Family or Single, you will received your welcome packet and identification card in the mail, 5-10 business days prior to the January 1, 2018 enrollment.

Part 5 - Life Insurance - Provided by the Worthington Board of Education

Part 5A - Supplemental Life Insurance - MetLife (Optional)
As an employee you may elect Supplemental Life Insurance (optional) up to $100,000. The cost of the coverage is based on your current age and rates as listed as Supplemental Term Life in the above Life Insurance Detail links.
