      Part 1 - Medical Insurance

    Worthington Schools offer a High Deductible Health Care Plan with Medical Mutual of Ohio.  See benefit summary for details of the plan. Medical Mutual will send your identification cards via mail within 5-10 days, prior to January 1, 2019.

    Once you have met your annual deductible, all medical/prescriptions are covered at 100% if using a network provider. The monthly premiums for health care coverage is split and withheld on the 10th & 25th of each month.

    2019 Medical Insurance Premium breakouts:

    Annual Deductibles:                                   

    • Family Deductible:  $3,000
    • Single Deductible:   $1,500

    The Board of Education provides 50% of the annual deductible by deposit in January into a Health Savings Account opened by you through CME Federal Credit Union.  (See instructions and link to open account under HSA in the next section)  If you were enrolled in Medical Insurance Last year, you currently have a Health Savings Account with CME or Fifth Third Bank.  (All new enrollments will process the Health Savings Account with CME Federal Credit Union)


    The 2019 dollar amount provided (deposited)  by the Board of Education toward your annual deductible 

    • Family $1,500.00
    • Single    $750.00 

    You have the option to deposit pre-tax dollars into your Health Savings Account for your portion of the annual deductible or any amount up to the IRS limit into your Health Savings Account over 2, 12 or 24 pay periods.  This option is available to you during the self enroll portion of open enrollment.     Part 5A - Supplemental Life Insurance - MetLife (Optional)

    As an employee you may elect Supplemental Life Insurance (optional) up to $100,000.  The cost of the coverage is based on your current age and rates as listed as Supplemental Term Life in the above Life Insurance Detail links.
