Worthington Special Olympics
The mission of Worthington Special Olympics is to provide sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This provides continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Adaptive Sports Connection
Founded in 1992, Adaptive Sports Connection (formerly The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition – TAASC) empowers children, adults, and veterans with physical and cognitive challenges through sports and therapeutic outdoor recreation.
Blendon Woods Little League Challenger Baseball
To provide an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges to enjoy the benefits of Little League participation in an environment structured to their abilities. Players are assisted, as needed, by "Buddies" on and off the field. We are open to Boys and Girls ages 5 through 18 who remain in school.
CCYHA Special Hockey - Columbus Blue Jackets
Columbus Chill Youth Hockey Association (CCYHA) partners with the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) and USA Hockey to provide children and adults who have developmental disabilities with the opportunity to play ice hockey in an environment adapted to each athlete's level of physical and mental ability.
Columbus Parks & Recreation Therapeutic Program & Adaptive Sports Club
Therapeutic Recreation sponsors recreational activities that are modified to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. We enhance an individual's physical, social, and lifetime recreational interests in a broad spectrum of leisure experiences. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, including the non-disabled.
Leap Of Faith Dance Company
Located in Westerville, LOF offers a Danceabilities Class where all students are welcome. Interactive dance classes geared toward students with special needs.
Miracle League of Central Ohio
The Miracle League of Central Ohio was formed in 2005 with the mission of raising funds to build a unique baseball field for athletes with mental and physical challenges in the Central Ohio area. The City of Dublin kindly donated the land required for this field.
Special Skills Sports
The Special Skills Sports camps are designed and developed for the special needs individual/athlete. The Special Skills Camps are FREE of charge to all of the special skilled athletes who participate.
Straub Dance Center
Super Special Dancers is for children ages 5-10 with special needs. This class is for children with developmental or physical disabilities and is led by a licensed pediatric physical therapist and dance instructor.
