Mental Health Services

  • Mental health services in special education can include:

    * Conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment for a student with a suspected or identified disability;

    *Providing individual or group counseling with the student as outlined through the student's IEP

    * Working in partnership with families and school staff to develop and monitor positive behavioral intervention strategies;

    *Assisting with identifying and linking school and community resources to support students and their families;

    *Conducting risk assessments or crisis intervention when needed.
