    2022-23 School year information:

    Dear 6th Grade Families,
     
    Happy summer! I hope everyone is enjoying time together, and getting excited for band! I wanted to send out some information about 6th grade band!
     
    Instrument Rental
    Families can choose to either:
    1) Go to Music and Arts Music Store in the Graceland Shopping Center to pick up your instrument
    2) Have the instrument delivered to Kilbourne MS with this link:
     
    Meet Your Instrument Camp!
    All 6th Grade Band students are INVITED to MEET YOUR INSTRUMENT BAND CAMP at KMS! At this FUN event, 6th grade band students will meet other beginning band students, learn how to assemble their instrument, and learn how to play 3 notes!!! This is a free introduction to your instrument! This is not required, but will certainly help things make sense, and get a good start before the first day of school!
     
    WHAT: Meet Your Instrument Camp!
    WHEN: Monday, August 8th, and Tuesday August 9th 9am-11am
    WHERE: Kilbourne MS Band Room! Students should enter through door #8! The Band Room is room 106! 
    COST? No cost!
    BRING: Your band instrument!
     
    Students get a chance to learn about band, and will be working with Mr.A and high school band students from Thomas Worthington HS! 
     
    What if my son/daughter can’t come? This event is not required, and we will indeed be learning how to assemble, and play music during the school year. This event just gives us a head start, and time to get to know each other!
     
    Whether or not students can attend our camp, I’d recommend that all families have their band instruments in hand by August 8th, in preparation for school to begin!
