Welcome to the McCord Middle SchoolCounseling DepartmentThe purpose of the McCord Middle School counseling program is to advocate for the students and families we serve and to assist in recognizing the individual needs required for each student to achieve academic and personal success. Our counseling department consists of our School Counselor, Mrs. Eggleston and our Mental Health Specialist, Ms. Peterson.
Mrs Eggleston (aka Mrs. E)
This will be Mrs. E's ninth year at McCord. She loves getting to work with middle school students - it is such a fun age!! She is very excited to have 6th graders McCord because this will give her more time to get to know your students. Mrs. E is the proud mom of a junior at the University of Cincinnati and a freshman at Ohio University. When she is not at McCord, she enjoys spending time with her family either outdoors or hanging out and watching a movie.
Cathy Eggleston:Ms Peterson
This is Ms. Peterson’s second year at McCord. She previously interned as a school social worker with high school students in the Pickerington School District. Ms. Peterson is thrilled to be at McCord full-time to help students maintain positive mental health. Outside of school, Ms. Peterson spends her time with her extremely vocal and curious cats, Piper and Moose. She also loves video games, reading, board games, and exploring the Columbus MetroParks.
