Welcome to Worthington City Schools. Located in northern Franklin County, our district is dedicated to providing an exceptional learning environment for our 10,700 students and 1,360 staff members through our 21 academic programs and schools.

Worthington Schools is proud to serve a diverse community that encompasses Columbus, Riverlea, Worthington, and portions of Sharon and Perry Townships. Our students benefit from various academic programs and extracurricular activities to foster growth, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Our mission is to empower a community of learners who will change the world. We believe in going beyond standardized measures of success, focusing instead on the holistic development of each student. Our unique educational programs, innovative teaching methods, and active engagement with the local community ensure that our students are well prepared for life beyond graduation.

We are committed to maintaining a high standard of academic excellence. Our district offers a wide range of classes and programs, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, and specialized middle schools like Phoenix Middle School elementary programs and preschool.

Worthington Schools is also dedicated to strategic and efficient financial management. Our district proudly maintains an AA+ rating from Standard & Poor’s, reflecting our strong financial stewardship. This rating signifies our ability to manage resources effectively, ensuring that we can provide the best possible education for our students.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of our success. We welcome volunteers into our schools and actively participate in community projects. Programs like Circle of Grandparents, Ready for Reading, and student mentorship initiatives strengthen our community bonds and enhance the educational experience for our students.

Our facilities are continually being updated through a community-led plan to meet the evolving needs of our students, staff, and residents. We recently completed renovating our middle schools and are in the process of updating our high schools to ensure they are safe, modern, and conducive to learning.

We invite you to learn more about Worthington Schools and join us in our mission to create a supportive and innovative educational environment where students are changing the world. Your involvement and support are crucial to our success, and we look forward to your continued partnership in shaping the future of our schools.
