Strategic Advocacy

Why:
We are committed to advocating for the best interests of our District, public education, appropriate and adequate funding, and local control.

How:
We stay informed about pending legislation, participate in opportunities to advocate at various levels of government, and provide regular legislative updates to the community.

Objectives:
●     Meet/communicate with legislators, community leaders, and other elected officials
●     Issue statements/resolutions

Goals:
●     Develop a Statehouse advocacy strategy
●     Develop a strategy for outreach to the City of Columbus regarding issues that impact our district, including:
          ○     Housing/Development
          ○     Safety services
          ○     Columbus Promise
