Environmental Controls
All district heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) are operated and monitored through an automated electronic energy management control system from Automated Logic Corporation.
- The automated HVAC system regulates building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems through a complex series of control strategies.
- These control strategies operate HVAC equipment within a specific set of parameters based on the temperatures inside and outside of individual facilities.
- The control strategies are designed to maintain a comfortable indoor environment while producing energy savings, especially during times buildings are unoccupied.
- After school hours, all district facility temperatures are reduced during the heating season and allowed to increase during the cooling season. These “night setback” hours occur between approximately 4 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday-Friday, and continuously on weekends. Times may vary depending upon the efficiency of individual systems.
- During the heating season all thermostats are set at 72 degrees. Thermostats are set at 74 degrees during air conditioning season.

System Tied To FMX
The district's FMX Facility Scheduling and Rental Program is linked to the Automated Logic controls. That means that all after hour district or facility rental schedules override the night setback hours providing a conditioned environment for the activities while they occur.
