Current Programs

The Worthington School District has a district-wide mixed recycling program.

Recyclables are collected from classroom and auxiliary area recycling bins and placed in clear plastic bags.

The bags are disposed in a recycling dumpster provided by Republic Waste.

Coming Soon

The Worthington School District will be partnering with the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) to participate in the SWACO Recycling Champions Program.

The program is designed to help schools build a successful, sustainable, comprehensive program, adopt recycling best practices, and educate staff and students with educational resources.

Planning is underway with the release of the program soon beginning with all middle school sites.
