2019 Fall Sports Information

Requirements to Participate in Cardinal Middle School Sports:

2019 Fall Sports Parent/Student Meeting will be on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Worthingway Middle School.

All forms must be completed electronically on Final Forms by July 30, 2019.  (Exception is Physical Form)

A 2019/2020 Physical Form must be completed and turned into your home school office by July 30, 2018; if you attend Phoenix Middle School the form should be turned into the middle school you would have attended if you did not go to Phoenix.  This form can be found on OHSAA Web-Site.

Team Pictures will be Thursday, August 15 at Worthingway.

All Fall Sport Information is updated on the WWAY web-site, just click on the sport or sports you might have interest in participating this fall.

Winter and Spring Sports will be updated early Fall

Prior to first regular season game please pay participation fee as listed below, we prefer you use MyPaymentsPlus, just as you would pay your school fees. If you wish to pay by check please bring money directly to home school office and do not give to the coach.  If there is a hardship please contact the AD at your home school and a payment plan will be worked out. 

Participation Fee: $125.00 per sport, Reduced lunch: $62.50, Free lunch: No Fee

We are asking that ALL student-athletes (grades 7-12) use Final Forms.  Even if your student’s current physical paperwork does not expire until after the new school year begins, please register @https://worthington-oh.finalforms.com now and electronically complete all the forms!  When forms have been completed I encourage you to check any sport you are thinking of participating in for the 2019/2020 school year.  Please make sure if you are going to any open gyms that at least the emergency form is filled out so coach has your contact information.

FOOTBALL CHEERLEADER TRYOUTS

If you will be in 8th grade next year and would like to tryout to be a football cheerleader you will find an information packet in the organizer on the wall outside of the office. PLEASE PICK ONE UP FOR FULL INFORMATION. Clinic dates are May 28 and 29 from 6-8pm at Worthingway Middle School. Tryout date is May 30 from 6-8pm at Worthingway Middle School. Parent meeting May 20, 6pm at Worthingway Middle School.

Camp dates July 17, 19, 23, 24, 25

Location- Worthingway Middle SchoolTime- 4:00 PM- 6:30 PM.

What players need to bring-Shorts, T-shirt, Tennis shoes, Cleats (If you have them) Water Bottle, Pencil, Notebook. We will begin to install basic rules, offensive, and defensive concepts during these dates. We will also pass out equipment players will need for official practices.

Parent/Student Meeting

Wednesday July 25th. 6:30 PM.

Official Practice-Begins August 1. Practices will be Monday through Friday each week of the season.

 Cost-$55 per session

Pre season meeting to be held with the all fall sports meeting. 

The first day of practice will be week of August 19.

 Cost includes a gymnastics camp t-shirt. Checks can be made payable to
