Phoenix Middle School is inviting artists, crafts and specialty item vendors to participate in the 13th Annual Phoenix Fair. This is a unique crafts bazaar, which combines one-of-a-kind hand crafted items with student entrepreneurship. Students develop a business plan and market their handmade products to sell at the event, along with the items sold by outside vendors. This is a great opportunity for the Worthington community to support both local businesses and educational enrichment.
The Phoenix Craft Fair takes place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit student activities and help subsidize student travel opportunities. The fee for non-student vendors is $25. For more information, to reserve a table for the event, please contact Jayne Rosandich, email@example.com, or call the Phoenix Middle School office at 614-450-4100.
In alignment with the Phoenix Middle School philosophy, the Phoenix Craft Fair is designed to give students the opportunity to experience entrepreneurism by developing an idea for a product or one-time service, making a business plan, procuring materials, designing a booth display and marketing and selling a product. Phoenix Middle School facilitates opportunities for students to discover a deeper understanding of self and their relationship to the world in which they live through real life experiences. Phoenix values self-direction, having choices, relevance of curriculum, students being responsible for their own learning and the evaluation of their own progress. Students participating in the Phoenix Fair are not charged a table fee, and must commit to donating 10% of their proceeds to Phoenix PTSA.
