Missed Schedule Pick-up?

August 2019

Dear Thomas Worthington High School Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2019 - 2020 school year!  We have spent the summer months preparing for the upcoming school year, and we are eagerly awaiting your arrival in just a few short weeks!  Please read below regarding your schedule pick-up process.  

If I missed schedule pick-up, when can I pick up my schedule?

If you are unable to attend one of the schedule pick-up sessions, you may come to Central Office at TWHS on August 12 or 13 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. or to the Auditorium on August 15 to receive your 2019 - 2020 schedule.  Please be sure to report to the auditorium on Thursday, August 15 to have your school picture taken for your student ID. 

What should I do before I come in to pick up my schedule?

Complete Annual Emergency Data Review and Update (Required):  All parents/guardians of enrolled students, even those whose personal information has not changed, are required to update the Emergency Contact information for the 2019 - 2020 school year before their student can receive his/her schedule and school ID.

Pay School Fees (Required):  All students are assessed a $65 fee.  Seniors are assessed an additional $35 “Senior Fee” for a portion of commencement-related expenses.  Please pay all current fees and outstanding fines and fees via the online payment system,, prior to schedule pick-up.  Fees may be paid with cash, check or money order during schedule pick-up.  No credit or debit cards will be accepted.

Complete Diploma Information (Required, Grade 12): All Seniors are required to submit a 2020 Diploma Information Form verifying the proper spelling of his/her name for their diploma.

Complete Free and Reduced Meals Application and School Fee Reduction (Optional):  Families who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals may fill out and submit an application online beginning August 1.  An informational sheet is included in this packet. Please contact Food Services at 614-450-6140 with questions.

Look for Lifetouch School Picture Information:  TWHS works with Lifetouch for all of our official school photography.  Please see the enclosed flyer for more information.  All students will have a school picture taken and receive a school ID card, even if they do not wish to make a purchase.

Complete Student Parking Application (Optional): Students who drive to school must purchase a 2019 - 2020 parking permit and display a 2019 - 2020 tag in their vehicle.  Parent/Guardian consent is required.  The parking application is available on your MyPaymentsPlus account under “Other Payments.”  Parking permits may be purchased at any time during the year. 

Complete Parent-Teacher-Student Organization Form (Optional):  There are many opportunities for parent(s)/guardian(s) to become involved at TWHS through our PTSO.  Please see the enclosed form for more information! 

Is there anything else I should know or do before I pick up my schedule?

Submit a Meningitis Immunization Update (Required, Grade 12):  All 12th grade students who have not yet met the State of Ohio meningitis requirement must provide updated immunization records at schedule pick up. 

Update Final Forms for Student-Athletes and Marching Band Participants (Required): Students who plan to participate in a sport in the fall, winter or spring, or the marching band, please login to or register on the Final Forms website: All required forms may be signed electronically and families may print the physical examination form to take to the doctor when necessary.  For all fall sport athletes and marching band members these forms and physicals must be turned in prior to participation on August 1, 2019.

Student Accident Insurance Application is Available (Optional):  Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Worthington students may purchase student insurance, which is available through an outside agency.  See the TWHS website for details.

Athletic Passes are Available (Optional):  For $35, students may purchase an athletic pass that will enable them to attend all home, regular-season athletic events.  Passes are available for purchase online:

All important dates and reminders can be accessed on the TWHS website. Below is a list of important dates in August:

August 8:                                                                                 Freshmen Orientation Program 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

August 8:                                                                                 Ice Cream Social for All Grades               7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

August 14:                                                                              First Day of School for Freshmen Only   7:45 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.

August 15:                                                                              First Day of School for All Grades           7:45 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.

August 28:                                                                              Meet the Teacher night              6:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
