Advanced Placement (AP) Exams

Students will need to join their AP course code in their College Board account. This code will be given to them by their AP classroom teacher.

• It is imperative that students have an up-to-date personal email address listed in their College Board Account. Do NOT use your Worthington Schools email account that ends with @wscloud.
   
• If you have previously set up an account with the College Board for previous AP courses, PSAT, or SAT, do not create a new one. Rather, if you are having trouble logging in, please contact College Board at apstudents@info.collegeboard.org or 1-888-225-5427 to assist you in getting access to your account.

Step 2
Make payment in MyPayments Plus

Log into your MyPayments Plus account to pay for your AP exam.

 You will need to create an account if you have not already done so. Once logged in, follow these steps:

• Below your student(s) cafeteria account payments, you should see Advanced Placement Exam Registration.
   
• Select the exam(s) you would like to register for, agree to the terms and select the exam date. This will add the exam to your cart, and you will then pay any applicable fees
  .
• BE SURE YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION SCREEN FOR YOUR EXAM REGISTRATION - If you do not have a confirmation, then your registration did not go through.

The deadline to submit applications to the College Board for special accommodations is January 16, 2026. You must contact the counseling department at your child’s school about the process to request special accommodations if your child’s disability impacts his/her participation in standardized testing.

The College Board Services for Students with Disabilities approve the requests NOT Worthington Schools. When registering in My Payments Plus, check mark the box on the registration form asking for accommodations.  

1. Read Terms and Conditions - Students MUST read College Board’s AP Exam Terms and Conditions prior to the exam.

2. For digital AP Exams - Bring your fully charged district-owned Chromebook, charger, College Board User ID and Password on exam day. District-owned Chromebooks meet the AP Program criteria. Personal devices will not be permitted.

3. Visit the AP Calculator Policy page of College Board's website for more information on the calculator policy and most current list of authorized calculators. Calculators are needed for Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics.

4. Confirm that you have an up-to-date personal email address listed in your College Board Account. Do NOT use your Worthington Schools email account that ends with @wscloud.org

Be Prepared with:

• A photo ID (school ID with photo, driver’s license, current passport)
• Fully charged district-owned Chromebook, College Board User ID and Password
• Plenty of sharpened #2 wooden pencils. DO NOT use mechanical pencils!
• Black or blue ink pens
• Snack and water for breaks - These items must remain under your seat until there is a break from testing. You may not have the items on your desk during the test.
• An approved calculator, if applicable

Do NOT bring:

• Cell phones - Phones are not permitted in the room during testing. They will be moved to a locked room during the testing period, and distributed afterwards.
• Wearable devices - including smart watches, watches that beep or other wearable tech
• Personal laptops or tablet computers
• Bluetooth devices
• Portable listening or recording devices such as MP3 players
• Cameras

Arrival Times on Exam Day

Morning exams: Report to your exam room no later than 7:30am on the day of the exam. Students who arrive after this time will not be permitted to test.

Afternoon exams: Report to your exam room no later than 12:15pm on the day of the exam.Students who arrive after this time will not be permitted to test. Afternoon exams will extend beyond the school day, so students will need to arrange for transportation home. 

Please note: Morning exams may last until 12:15pm. If you have both a morning and afternoon exam on the same day, it is strongly recommended that you bring a lunch with you to eat in between your exam sessions. Students are also permitted to have a snack during the short 10 minute break of the exam. 

Students may be able to earn college credit for their AP courses, based on their exam scores.

Using the AP Credit Policy Search, students can see how their particular college or university awards college credits for AP. Students can search by AP exam, or by college.

Students must indicate through their My AP Account the college or university they’d like to receive their free score report. This is especially important for college-bound seniors. 

College Board recognizes there are situations that arise that may require a student to participate in late testing.

Below are the circumstances when late testing is allowed without incurring an additional fee of $40/exam:

· Academic Contest/event
· School Athletic contest/event
· Conflict with IB exam
· Conflict with nationally, province-, or state-mandated test
· Disabilities accommodations issue
· Emergency: bomb scare or fire alarm
· Emergency: serious injury, illness or family tragedy
· High school graduation
· Religious/holiday observance
· School closing: election, national holiday, or natural disaster
· Strike/labor conflict
· Student court appearance
· Two AP exams scheduled on the same date at the same time

Any other reason will incur an additional $40 fee. Also, as a result of College Board’s updates to its program, no stand-by testing will be permitted.
