Asthma Information
Asthma is an acute or chronic respiratory disorder where the air passages in the lungs can be extremely sensitive. A person with asthma can have difficulty breathing due to an increase production of mucus and a narrowing or inflammation of the airways. There are many triggers for asthma including:
- Allergens
- Viruses

- Smoke
Each student with asthma has specific needs. Please contact the school nurse to discuss specific symptoms and treatment in addition to developing a health plan for your student.
