Parent Mentor
Shannon Daily
As a mother of three children enrolled in the Worthington school district (specifically at Sutter Park and Wilson Hill), I hold a deep appreciation for the innovative leadership and the high-quality education that my kids are currently receiving. I am both honored and excited to be a Special Education Parent Mentor for Worthington City Schools.

Originally from New England, I have now called Worthington, Ohio my home for the past five years. My journey in this community began when my first child attended Sutter Park Preschool shortly after our move here, and I've cherished this community ever since.
With a career spanning 15 years as an Occupational Therapist, I also served as a department manager for two of those years. Over the course of my professional experience, I've had the privilege of collaborating with various disciplines, patient families, and the community at large.
My primary objective as the parent mentor for Worthington City Schools is to act as a compassionate, impartial, and supportive "bridge" between the special education department and the parents and guardians of our students. I bring a unique perspective as both a parent of children with disabilities and an understanding of the complex task of navigating the special education system, the medical system, and the overall care of these remarkable children we've been entrusted with. It's undeniably challenging, and I am here to provide assistance and support.
I hold a strong passion for empowering parents and families to become advocates for their loved ones and for promoting disability awareness within the community. I firmly believe that my skill set will be an asset in supporting parents, teachers, administrators, and, most importantly, the students. As the saying goes, "It takes a village," so please do not hesitate to reach out and include me in yours!
