District Tuberculosis Testing Practice
Worthington Schools requires a negative TB test that was performed in the United States for the following students:
- Current student who has returned from a TB-endemic region, in which the student spent 30 or more consecutive days, or
- A new student who was born in a TB-endemic region and does not have a record of a negative TB test that was performed in the United States, or
- A new student who has spent 30 or more consecutive days in a TB-endemic region within the past five years and does not have a record of a negative TB test.
A list of high-burden countries is available below (20 cases/100,000 people is considered high burden).
The negative test results must be presented, along with your other required documentation, during your communication with the Welcome Center.
If you would like Worthington Schools to make a referral for you to the Columbus Board of Health, please let the Welcome Center staff know at the time of your enrollment.
