Teach In Worthington
In Worthington Schools, we are
EMPOWERING A COMMUNITY OF LEARNERS WHO WILL CHANGE THE WORLD!
Why Worthington?
We are about more than test scores. Our district journey is continuously being marked by action steps that align with our mission of empowering a community of learners who will change the world.
In 2022, our community passed an incremental operating levy that will allow us to maintain our current academic programs and other offerings while accommodating projected enrollment growth for the next several years. Residents simultaneously passed a bond issue that is funding Phase 2 of our Master Facilities Plan, which involves renovating and rebuilding both Thomas Worthington and Worthington Kilbourne High Schools. A student’s physical environment is directly tied to their ability to learn. We are excited for the future and grateful to our community for making our facilities a priority.
Additionally, our world, and education in particular, has changed dramatically in recent years. That’s why the district is partnering with Battelle for Kids to develop a Portrait of a Learner. A Portrait of a Learner is a collective vision that articulates our community’s aspirations for all students. We look forward to working with our students, families, partners and residents to examine how the world has changed and to integrate the competencies students need to thrive today and tomorrow into this new vision.
